11th February 2006 Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 20-25mph Surf / Sea State: Flat, some chop Air Temperature: Freezing Sea Temperature: Cold Weather: OK Max Speed: 27mph (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: Rob and I had travelled back down from our morning session at Rattray Bay and met up with Jim and Alan at Newburgh. Wind was up and down a bit between 18 and 27mph, so decided on the 5.8 and big board. This was OK for the most time, but sometimes, a 6.3 would have been preferable. Anyway, had a great sail, just blasting about - drag racing each other and generally trying to out do each other on the gybes / transitions. It was mighty cold though. |
